What we provide

Discover effective, evidence-based and personalized speech therapy services for children. Our play-based approach fosters communication growth in a fun and engaging environment.

Seedling

$200/month

Perfect for familes who just want a little extra support for their developing child.

Approximate ages : 0- 3 years

  • Dynamic assessment is rooted in the belief that every child possesses unique abilities, including their learning styles, strengths, and challenges.

A dynamic assessment begins with a one-size-fits-most inventory of where your child is on their communication growth chart.

Next, as a family-therapist team, we become experts in understanding how your child learns best through play-based methods. Some seeds are easy to sprout, while others require more attentive sowing and care.

You’ll be provided a brief written profile of the conditions necessary to support your seedling.

As your child continues to grow, I continuously evaluate and adapt our approach to fit the ever-changing nature of childhood.

Dynamic assessment allows me to follow a strengths-based approach that assumes competence and ability, and treats your child and family with dignity and respect.

Unfortunately, insurance companies operate on deficit-based or impairment-based model that would require me to document what I believe to be “wrong” with your child. I am fundamentally opposed to this model, and therefore I am unable to bill insurance for my services.

  • I bring the fun to you!

Equipped with toys and tools for encouraging growth, I travel to your home and provide 1:1 undivided attention to your child.

For seedlings, recommended in-home sessions are typically 45 minutes in length, 25 minutes for play, and 20 minutes for parent coaching. Sessions in this package are priced on a bi-weekly basis.

  • “The therapist just played with my child the whole time!”

…is something that play-based therapists are sadly used to hearing. Parent coaching allows me to pull back the curtain and allow you a behind the scenes look at how rich and beneficial play can be when facilitated and scaffolded intentionally.

You will become the experts in how to connect and communicate with your child, and how you can use your daily play to intentionally foster their communicative growth.

  • All families at SoundSprout have daily access to me for questions, suggestions, and check-ins.

You child used a word for the first time? I want to hear about it! They used a sign for more instead of screaming? Yes please! Tell me more!

You can’t get them to follow their bedtime routine without melting down? Reach out!

My unique background as both a nanny and speech-therapist allows me to connect as both a specialist and with the real life reality of life with a toddler.

  • Emergent language

  • Play skills

  • Social communication
